THE PLATFORM
In 2015, four young entrepreneurs met at a code club in Kigali and wrote their first lines of code together. They had no office, no investment, and no clients. What they had was a college library, a shared belief in what Rwandan technology could become, and a name that said exactly what they were building toward - Awesomity. Awesome Creativity.
A decade later, that belief is documented in results.
Awesomity is a multi-award-winning software development lab headquartered in Kigali, Rwanda, with strategic offices in the Netherlands and the UK. The lab specialises in end-to-end digital product development - project discovery, UI/UX design, software engineering, and technology consultancy - delivered for clients who need serious solutions built to scale.
Their client list reads like a brief on the global digital economy. Volkswagen. The Government of Rwanda. OX Global. GIZ. Irembo. The United Nations. In 2019, Awesomity built Move - the biggest made-in-Rwanda app at the time, completing over 100,000 rides within its first year. In 2020, they won the RDB Excellence Award for Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Endorsed publicly by President Paul Kagame and the CEO of the Rwanda Development Board, this is not a startup story waiting to happen. It already happened.
